Sundance 2001 featuring: "Dogtown" review, X-dance, parties, and movie
reviews
Sundance 02001
Wigmag.com went to Sundance to cover the underground of this
"independent" film festival. We were not disappointed. We heard that Courtney was
riding Park City and while we looked, sort of, for the buxom blonde, we ended
up riding the trees where glorious fresh powder was stashed rather than
scouting beginner runs for the diva like most media hounds.
Things we discovered
during our stay in P.C. and stories include:
Sundance 2001-An Ex-Local's Perspective
"Best of" Sundance Movie Review—Wigmag.com reviews the best based on
the films we could actually get into
Coming Soon:
Dogtown— an in-depth review of this skateboarding documentary which
took Sundance "by surprise" with a two-time win for Documentary Audience
Award and Best Director Award
X-dance—the latest "dance" added to Sundance (after Slamdance, No
Dance, Lapdance, Slam Dunk, and my personal favorite, "Van" dance (you could
view teeny –tiny shorts in the back of a van which drove around in order to
escape the wrath of Sundance officials and cops)) featuring the best action
sports movies and an impressive panel discussion with alternative film
directors
X-dance party sponsored by Gigantic, featuring P.O.D. and Paul
Oakenfold
An also here’s a story from last year’s Sundance for your reading
pleasure. Doing the Sundance
